Archie is a Working Cocker Spaniel. He comes to us every 8 weeks which is quite usual for the breed. He’s a lovely boy and since he’s be coming to My Best Friend Dog Grooming he has become progressively less anxious with each visit.

“I haven’t had the best experiences in the past with groomers and have always been told that my dog is anxious, I thought I’d give my best friend dog grooming a go. Clara really made Archie and I feel extremely welcome, she wanted to understand our past experiences and she really made an effort with Arch, to fuss him, which went a long way with us. I explained that he gets anxious so Clara advised we go back to basics as if he were a puppy, to not overwhelm him, I agreed that this would be the best for him. When I came to pick him up, Clara told me he wasn’t anxious at all and that she had a great time with him. This obviously meant the world to me and Archie seemed very happy! I truly believe this is because Clara got on his level, made an effort with him, rather than a military 1 in 1 out operation. Milo is a Cavachon which is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frise. This is a lovely mix of 2 companion dogs although due to their coat type do require daily brushing and regular trips to the groomer.

Nelly is an English Springer Spaniel. These dogs come under the Gun Dog class and are often found alongside their handler picking up game.
