The Cirencester store is set up to be a one stop shop for all of your doggy needs but don’t expect to find the usual pet shop wares. We focus on dogs and we focus on high quality and natural products that are designed to support the health and well-being of your best friend.

So, what do we sell?

As we have previously mentioned, our product offering is all about supporting health and well-being. Because of this you won’t find traditional kibbles and wet food from the likes of Pedigree or Winalot. We stock a great range of raw dog foods, a selection of cold pressed, wet and fresh cooked options.

Along side our dog food we also have a huge range of natural and lose dog treats, natural supplements and remedies and a carefully selected range of useful accessories and dog grooming essentials.

As we say, not a traditional pet shop!

Raw Dog Food

We believe raw dog food is the healthiest option for most dogs as it’s the closest we can get to their historic diet. At My Best Friend in Cirencester we stock only the best quality raw dog foods from companies that are transparent and have full traceability on their ingredients. Current brands include:

Cold Pressed Dog Food

Instead of being cooked at high temperatures, the ingredients are compressed at lower temperatures to form the final product. This helps retain more of the natural nutrients and flavours, making it a step up from traditional kibble in terms of nutrition and digestibility for your dog. Quite often, as cold-pressed foods are considered to be more nutritionally dense than regular extruded kibbles, you may find you need to feed your dog less of it on a daily basis. Which could be good for getting more value for money out of your dog food. We stock cold pressed dog food from Walker & Drake which, according to independent reviews, is the highest quality raw dog food available at time of writing.

Wet and Fresh Cooked Dog Food

Whilst we believe raw dog food is the healthiest option for most dogs we understand that it is not suitable for some pups or even for some owners due to lifestyle or perhaps an aversion to handling raw meat. So, to ensure we have a complete offering we stock a fab fresh cooked food from Wilsons and a high quality nutritious wet food from Walker and Drake.

Alongside our raw, cold pressed, fresh cooked and wet dog foods we also have a range of healthy and nutritious meal toppers from JR Pet Products which are idea to stir through dry dog food to make your best friend’s meal a tad more tasty!!

Tasty Treats, Toys and Enrichment for Your Best Friend

In store we have over 100 natural pick n’ mic treats!! From beef knees to buffalo ears and from rabbit feet to pigs snouts we’ve  got something for everydog. The beauty of our pick n’ mix doggy treats is that nothing goes to waste and your best friend can choose exactly when they want.

We also have natural dog treats from The Innocent Hound, Louis & Ada, Green & Wilds, Walker & Drake, Naked Dog, Poppy’s Picnic and The Life of Riley.  What more could your dog want?

To help keep your dog happy and stimulated we have carefully selected chew toys from Green & Wilds (these are made from natural sustainable materials and are almost indestructible) Pupsickle Licky Toys as well as chew roots and olive sticks.

We believe that prevention is better that cure. Alongside our healthy dog food and natural treats we stock a wide range of natural supplements and remedies from Proflax, The Herbal Dog Co, Hackney Dog House, Our Dogs Life and Barkin’ Bistro.

Dog Grooming Essentials

Clara was a professional dog groomer for 10 years and although she is no longer hands on she does know what works and what doesn’t when it comes to dog grooming products and tools. We stock a range of slicker brushes, combs and nail clippers as well as professional shampoos and conditions to help keep your best friend in tip top condition between grooms.
